The app provides functionalities for searching and previewing archived content, as well as establishing Alerts (search agents) to receive notifications about new additions to the archives. Additionally, it enables users to upload files directly from the Photos library on their iPhone or iPad to accessible archives, with options to add necessary metadata during the upload process.

Regarding server connectivity, FotoWare for iPhone can interface with both the FotoWare SaaS environment and any FotoWeb 8.0 server. On initial launch, users will be prompted to specify a server connection; this configuration can be adjusted later via the Settings menu within the device.
